Well it's certainly more attractive than what Ford just shat out.

Ford RS has faster Nurburgring time.
And bigger engine.
And fwd.
Looks amazing.
And more fuel efficient
And more comfortable.
And no bowtie.

Sonic hasn't run the Nurburgring, could be faster
Bigger isn't better
It's Haldex
Looks like a catfish
We don't have mileage numbers, but I doubt it's more efficient
Have you sat in one?
At least the Bowtie isn't a dumb blue Oval

I believe you mean AWD.

"It's Haldex" is no excuse anymore, especially considering the following vehicles have a Haldex-type system:
Veyron
Aventador LP 700-4
Volvo S60R
Volvo V70R

I still prefer my MR2
Hasn't run the Nurburgring - Will probably post the first sub-2 minute lap
1.6L seems pretty big to me. Ever try drinking that much gasoline? I can't. Charlie can.
Lol, you and your FWD/4wd.
Looks like a wedge.
My odometer broke, but I can confirm that it does go, and use gas, so there is gas mileage. Oil mileage too!
One piece seat.
FUCKING EAGLE EMBLEM!

Kind of? It's Haldex.

lolcar > either RS
One-wheel-drive
Unlimited slip
Horrific weight balance
Drum brakes
Less power than either RS
Fewer gears, and no way to select them manually
More body roll
Somehow more uncomfortable than either
Worse gas mileage than either
More fun. than both put together

Don't the Veyron and Aventador bias the rear though?
I don't really care, I was just counter trolling

Dey do. I just can't stand writing off a car just because of the AWD system it uses.

At least.

It'd be +10 but it was mid 90s chevrolet so the transmission ate 5 of them.

You can say the Sonic is a better buy, or you like it more, or you think it looks better. I will disagree with you, but that's all subject, so it's your prerogative.
However, to say that a 138hp FWD Sonic RS might be able to lap the Nuburgring faster than a 320hp AWD Focus RS is asinine.

Two words:

Fish

Depends on the drivers. If the Stig was in the Sonic and my mother was in the Focus the Sonic might win
Oh and MY Sonic has more than 138 hp...

*not fwd
![]() 02/03/2015 at 16:19 |

yes but the engine is the back with the transmission. Why would either bias to the front!?
![]() 02/03/2015 at 18:17 |

My point was that rear bias is more in line with the 'ideal' driving car than front bias
